GEO services

GEO services that get AI engines to cite your site, shipped as fixed, verifiable deliverables

Led growth at cnvrg.io before its acquisition by Intel.

I lead and personally implement GEO work on buyer content, technical access, identity and measurement within the agreed client or project scope. We define deliverables, dependencies and a build order, then review the implementation and recorded answer observations separately. The engine decides which sources to cite.

5 AI engines tracked for your citation share
Weekly AI Answer Audit, fixes shipped the same week

Most GEO pages sell you on a person or a philosophy. This one sells you a scope. If you already know AI search matters and you just want to know what the work is, what you get, and how it is packaged, this is the page.

GEO services turn generative engine optimization from a vague promise into a defined deliverable set. I run the work as one named system, the Citation Loop: four production lines, answer-ready content, machine access, entity and authority, and measurement, where the measurement line feeds the next round of fixes. Each line ships specific artifacts you can point at, not a monthly slide deck. For the strategy and the track record behind these services, see the GEO consultant overview. For a one-time diagnostic with a 0-100 score, see the GEO audit. This page is what an ongoing engagement actually produces.

The Citation Loop

What GEO services deliver: the Citation Loop

01

Answer-ready content production

I rebuild agreed priority pages around a clear buyer question, a direct useful answer and supporting evidence. The deliverable is the improved page set and a reusable editorial template. A fixed word count is not a documented citation requirement or a measured fastest route to citations.

02

Machine access layer

Review Googlebot for Google Search and OAI-SearchBot for ChatGPT search separately from model-training permissions. GPTBot controls potential OpenAI training use; Google-Extended covers Gemini training and certain grounding uses, without controlling Google Search inclusion. ChatGPT-User serves user-triggered retrieval. Deliver an access report and the agreed schema and llms.txt files, verified after shipping. The llms.txt guide is a reader aid; Google Search AI features do not require extra AI files. Eligibility does not guarantee inclusion.

03

Entity and authority build

A consistent identity graph across Wikidata, LinkedIn and Crunchbase so engines can resolve who you are, plus a citation-magnet asset: an original benchmark, survey or teardown nobody else has. Deliverable: a clean sameAs graph and one publishable data asset per quarter.

04

Measurement: the Weekly AI Answer Audit

A recorded citation baseline across the agreed engines, followed by a Weekly AI Answer Audit of the same buyer queries. Review answers for inaccurate pricing, facts and competitor references, then prioritize corrections to the sources we control. Deliver a tracked query set, audit log and monthly observation report. Engines may continue to show an inaccurate answer after source corrections.

To make the report useful, each observation records the question, engine, UTC capture time, known market and language, brand mention and exact cited URL. Repeated checks use the same query set and comparable conditions. Unavailable answers are listed separately from completed checks that found no mention.

Report how many checks completed against how many were planned, with unavailable checks separate. Within completed answers, distinguish a brand mention, a cited source and whether the stated facts are supported. A citation can accompany an inaccurate answer; the report should make that visible rather than combine everything into one success rate.

Services vs an agency

Why GEO services from an operator beat an agency retainer

Compare the named people and agreed scope: strategic ownership, personal implementation, delivery capacity, dependencies and acceptance. I lead and ship the agreed work on your site and keep the resulting assets and operating knowledge with your team.

The difference shows up in three places.

First, scope

An agency bills against deliverables it controls; here the deliverables are fixed and verifiable live, on your domain.

Second, speed

Some repairs are small enough to ship quickly once access and approval are available. We agree the implementation and review milestones from the actual findings; neither clean schema nor answer formatting establishes a citation uplift or fixed timing.

Third, accountability

The measurement line ties every change to citation share, so you can see what the work bought.

If your tracking cannot yet prove which channel drives revenue, pair GEO services with server-side tracking first so the wins are measurable.

The trap

Visibility without value

Getting cited is not the goal. Getting quoted accurately, by an engine that sends traffic you can measure, is.

AI engines can mention you and still misstate your pricing, your features, or who you are for. That traffic arrives pre-disappointed and converts terribly, and most teams never see it happening because nothing in their stack watches the answers. The Weekly AI Answer Audit closes the first half of the gap: wrong facts get caught and corrected before they cost a deal. The second half is measurement: if your analytics cannot isolate AI-engine traffic and trace it to revenue, GEO stays a faith-based budget line. That is attribution work, the same discipline I sell as a marketing attribution consultant, starting with a GA4 audit if you want the gap quantified first. Visibility you cannot measure is not growth.

How it runs

The GEO services engagement, week by week

WEEKS 1-2

Baseline and access

Citation baseline captured across five engines, crawler access tested per bot, the access report delivered. You know exactly where you stand before anything changes.

WEEKS 3-6

Content and schema

Priority pages rebuilt answer-ready, with agreed schema and access changes shipped and verified. Recheck the same query set after the work; citation changes may be positive, negative or unobserved.

WEEKS 7-12

Authority and compounding

The identity graph cleaned, the first original-data asset published, the query set re-run so you see movement. From here the work compounds while the category is still open.

What you keep

The assets GEO services leave behind

A retainer you can never leave is a trap. GEO services are built so that if we stop tomorrow, you keep the machine, not just the memory of it.

Every deliverable line produces a durable asset your team owns. The answer-ready content line leaves a reusable block template, so your writers keep shipping citable pages without me. The machine access line leaves shipped schema and a maintained llms.txt that keep working after the engagement ends. The identity work leaves accurate applicable markup and reference links, with an owner for changes as facts and external profiles evolve. The measurement line leaves a tracked query set and a reporting method your own analyst can run alone. The point of productized GEO services is transfer: I can personally run the continuing work or hand over the agreed operating process to your team. That is also why the scope is fixed and verifiable rather than an open-ended monthly that quietly renews. You can see exactly what shipped, on your domain, and decide each quarter whether the next production line is worth buying. Honesty about scope cuts both ways: if a line does not apply to your category yet, I will tell you to skip it rather than bill for it.

The point of productized GEO services is transfer: I run the first cycle, your team runs the next one.
What you keep
i

Every GEO engagement starts by confirming the AI crawlers can actually reach your pages, for example against OpenAI's published crawler list. If the bots are blocked, no amount of content work gets you cited.

Frequently asked questions about GEO services

What do GEO services include?

GEO services run as the Citation Loop, four deliverable lines: answer-ready content production (priority pages rebuilt into extractable blocks plus a reusable template), a machine access layer (crawler access, valid schema, a current llms.txt, all verified live), an entity and authority build (a clean sameAs identity graph plus one original data asset), and measurement (a live citation baseline plus a Weekly AI Answer Audit across five engines, with a monthly citation-share report). You get named artifacts, not a slide deck.

How are GEO services different from a GEO audit?

A GEO audit is a one-time diagnostic that returns a 0-100 score, a gap report and a build order. GEO services are the ongoing engagement that executes that build order and ships the deliverables. Many clients start with the audit to get the score, then move into services to do the work.

How are GEO services different from a GEO agency?

I lead strategy and personally implement the agreed work. Scope, time commitment, capacity and availability are agreed for each client or project. We can plan continuing operation, a focused build or a documented handoff according to the work your team needs. Compare the actual deliverables, approvals and review measures with an agency proposal.

How fast do GEO services show results?

The agreed timeline covers the work I control: a baseline, approved page changes and comparable rechecks. Citations can vary by engine, query, date and context; a change may produce no observable effect. Report answer accuracy, citation observations and qualified inquiries separately. Inclusion, timing and revenue are not guaranteed.

Are you taking on new GEO clients, and how do I start?

I agree the scope, time commitment and availability for each client or project before work starts. The start date is agreed before work begins. The first step is a call to scope which production lines you need first. Availability changes over time, so confirm it on that call. I reply to messages within 1 business day.

How do you measure whether AI engines cite my site?

I record a citation baseline across the agreed engines, then run a Weekly AI Answer Audit of the same buyer queries. The audit reviews answers for inaccurate pricing, facts and competitor references, then prioritizes corrections to the sources we control. You receive a tracked query set, an audit log and a monthly observation report. Engines may continue to show an inaccurate answer after source corrections.

Scope your GEO services engagement

You have seen the deliverables and the timeline. The next step is a call to scope which production lines you need first and what the first 90 days ships. The window is open because almost no one in your category has done this yet.

Fixed scope, named deliverables. No open-ended retainer.
