Custom AI agents for creative testing

Turn a buyer insight into a creative test you can learn from

More ad variations do not necessarily answer a useful question. I build custom creative-agent workflows that connect permitted customer evidence, product facts and an agreed test. I personally lead the creative strategy, build the workflow and produce and check the work in scope, so your team receives a clear comparison and a usable next decision.

Choose the question before generating variations

A useful starting question is why a particular buyer would pay attention or hesitate to take the next step. I connect that question to permitted research and actual product facts, then define the message and one comparison worth making. B2B, B2C and ecommerce creative can all use this approach, with different buying contexts and outcomes.

The workflow can prepare briefs, organise source material, produce approved draft formats and review claim consistency. I also implement the creative and campaign work agreed for the project. A text agent is not automatically a finished production pipeline for every image, film or ad platform.

Match the workflow to the actual creative problem
Observed problemImplementationUseful output
Drafts use generic promisesSource-backed buyer problem and product claim checksA brief with a traceable reason to believe
Every variation changes everythingA controlled comparison with an explicit variableDrafts that answer one defined test question
A product claim has no supportClaim-to-source review before productionA revised claim or an open evidence question
Tests accumulate without a decisionResults review using agreed metrics and caveatsA continue, revise or investigate decision with its basis

Define what AI can prepare and what I review

An agent can organise permitted interviews, propose message angles, adapt a supported claim to a format and check drafts against the brief. I select the strategic direction, resolve product and brand questions with the right people, and personally produce or implement the agreed creative work. Your commercial and publishing approvals remain explicit.

Creative strategy and production covers the wider service. Custom AI-agent delivery explains the build and operating model. We can start with a workflow your team takes over or include ongoing creative production and campaign operation.

Different approaches solve different problems
ApproachUse it forWhat it does not establish
Template or ordinary automationStable format adaptation with approved textA new strategic insight
Agent-assisted brief and draft workflowInterpreting permitted evidence and proposing variationsThat the draft is accurate or ready to publish
Human-led creative productionMessage selection, visual direction and the agreed finished assetsThat the market will prefer the result
Controlled market testLearning from observed delivery and responsesA universal winning message from a small sample

Worked example: test the hook without inventing a feature

Illustrative input and expected output only. WF-CREATIVE-01 uses a fictional reporting product whose approved feature is CSV export. No live ads, customers or measured test results are represented.

Input: the draft brief asks for a fully automatic report, but the permitted product note supports CSV export only. The proposed experiment compares two opening hooks for the same buyer problem. The destination, supported offer and remaining format are held consistent for the comparison.

From input to a review-ready experiment
StepExpected outputAcceptance check
Verify the product claimRemove the unsupported fully automatic report promiseThe product owner can point to the source supporting the replacement
Prepare two hooksTwo openings around the same supported taskThe deliberate difference is recorded; other controlled elements are listed
Prepare the experiment sheetAudience, offer, destination, primary metric and review conditionsThe comparison is defined before launch
Review publication readinessApproved drafts plus open production or product questionsNo draft is marked live because it passed a writing check
Inspect early resultsAn observation with delivery and sample limitationsNo winner is declared from insufficient evidence
Hand over the decisionContinue, revise or investigate with a reasonThe next owner and permitted campaign action are explicit
Illustrative creative workflow: the approved CSV-export feature supports two opening hooks. An unsupported automation claim is rejected. Shared offer and destination lead to a review-only experiment plan, with no result yet.
Illustrative workflow. The synthetic example above defines inputs and expected behavior; it contains no customer data or executed result.

I build the operating workflow and the creative work in scope

Source permission, product truth, visual rights and platform requirements depend on the actual materials and channels. We check them for the selected campaign before publishing. The workflow is a custom implementation, not a claim that a prebuilt agent already produces compliant ads for every account.

  • Create a brief structure tied to buyer evidence, product facts, supported claims and the intended response.
  • Build the agreed source library, drafting steps, variation format and claim-review checks.
  • Personally develop and implement the agreed messages, assets, production tasks and campaign changes.
  • Prepare the experiment plan, naming and output records so variations can be traced to their brief.
  • Check the output with product/brand owners, deliver the editable work and define the production or operating handoff.

Make draft, approval and campaign release separate states

I connect the permitted product and buyer sources to the agreed brief, asset workspace, production tools and results records. I personally build the workflow and produce or implement the creative work in scope. The selected formats, tools and account permissions determine which steps can be automated and which need production work or review.

The product owner accepts factual claims, the designated brand/commercial owner accepts the creative, and the campaign owner accepts any live release or spending action. Routine preparation can run within the agreed workflow. A review-only build ends with accepted drafts and an experiment manifest; it does not quietly launch a campaign.

Retain the accepted source, brief and asset versions. A rejected draft can be revised or restored before publication. If live campaign operation is included, I document the previous assets/settings and the agreed pause or revert procedure, then verify the resulting account state. A rollback does not erase spend already incurred or create a test result that was not observed.

Measure learning and review effort, not output volume alone

Compare the time and corrections needed to get from an accepted brief to review-ready work before and after the pilot. Keep product errors, unsupported claims and rework visible. Generating more variations has little value if reviewers must repair each one or if the comparison cannot answer the original question.

Commercial evaluation uses the actual channel, delivery conditions and agreed outcome. Click-through, qualified response, activation and purchase are different measures. I define the reporting and decision conditions before the test and retain inconclusive results when the evidence is too thin.

Acceptance for the build and for the market test are separate
StageWhat we can checkWhat we cannot claim yet
Workflow buildSources, claim checks, repeatable outputs and exception handlingMore revenue or lower acquisition cost
Creative reviewApproved message, format, product facts and production qualityA winning creative
Campaign readinessCorrect destination, tracking, settings and approvalsA causal result before delivery

Start with one recurring creative decision

Bring a campaign or format that repeatedly needs new work, a permitted buyer question and the product facts reviewers trust. We choose the output, production requirements, publishing responsibilities and acceptance conditions before the build.

The scope can include strategy, the agent workflow, creative production, implementation and ongoing management. Volume, languages, channels, asset types and review dependencies determine the engagement. I agree that scope per client and project rather than promise the same content quota or performance lift to everyone.

Questions before the build

Are you producing the creative or only installing an AI workflow?

I can personally lead the creative strategy, build the workflow and produce and implement the creative work agreed for the project. We define formats, assets, channels and any production dependencies up front. The scope states what I deliver and what your team or a specialist production partner supplies.

Can we use this for B2B, B2C and ecommerce?

Yes. The workflow can support those models, but buyer questions, product evidence, production needs and outcomes differ. A sales-led B2B response, a consumer activation and an ecommerce purchase need different briefs and test definitions.

Will the agent publish ads or change budgets?

Only where those actions are explicitly included and approved. A review-only workflow can stop at an accepted draft and experiment sheet. Campaign publishing, account changes and spending have separate permissions and checks, even if a tool connection is technically available.

What if a customer insight or product claim has no evidence?

The workflow marks the gap and asks the appropriate owner, or rewrites around a supported statement. It does not turn an illustrative scenario into a customer testimonial, invent a feature or borrow a competitor result as your proof.

How do you keep the test useful when many things change?

Define the deliberate variable and record the elements intended to stay consistent before launch. Real delivery can still differ, so the review includes audience, placement, timing, spend and measurement conditions. If the comparison cannot support the intended conclusion, we keep the result inconclusive.

Does faster drafting mean better performance?

No fixed relationship is assumed. We measure draft and review effort separately from market response. A build may reduce repetitive work while the market test is still inconclusive. Performance claims need the actual delivered comparison and suitable evidence.

What remains with our team after handoff?

The agreed source structure, instructions, editable creative and briefs, experiment records, review checks and operating documentation. Your team practises an ordinary task and a missing-evidence case. I can continue producing and operating the agreed work if you prefer ongoing management.

What can we roll back if a creative change is rejected or underperforms?

Before publishing, we can restore an accepted brief or asset version and resolve the review finding. If campaign operation is in scope, I define the approved pause/revert path, preserve the previous settings and verify the account after the change. Already incurred spend and customer exposures cannot be undone. We keep the actual result and its limitations, then choose the next test or production change under the agreed decision rule.
