Full-Funnel Growth Diagnostic

Investigate where the growth journey is breaking down and choose a practical next step. Connect the available acquisition, sales, activation and retention evidence into a prioritized plan your team can keep and use.

Find the questions that need investigation

Three overlapping glass discs meet at a teal point of light on a dark pedestal.

When growth stalls, different teams may see different parts of the problem. More traffic may not resolve an unclear offer, a qualification issue or friction after signup. Begin by mapping the journey and the evidence needed to compare those explanations.

I personally carry out the bounded assessment and prepare the prioritized plan. It can examine the relevant funnel stages and measurement gaps without assuming that every system is complete or one cause explains every outcome. The client keeps the agreed plan whether or not further work follows.

What the agreed work can cover

Funnel and evidence map

Agree the journey, stage definitions and relevant data sources. Record what is observed, inconsistent or unavailable before comparing performance.

Constraint investigation

Review the agreed acquisition, qualification, activation or retention questions against the available evidence. Distinguish supported findings from plausible explanations needing a test.

Measurement and dependency review

Identify gaps that affect the decision, including tracking, source definitions or handoffs. Explain which findings depend on resolving them.

Prioritized growth plan

Develop the agreed next actions with rationale, dependencies, responsible owners and review measures. Give the team a usable plan and clear open questions.

How the engagement comes together

1

Frame the diagnostic

Review the business model, current concern, funnel and evidence available. Agree the questions, access and people needed for the work.

2

Investigate and compare

Examine the selected stages and competing explanations. Review measurement gaps with the relevant owners rather than treating missing data as a result.

3

Review the plan

Discuss findings, priorities and the next tests with the team. Agree what can be implemented, what needs more evidence and how progress will be reviewed.

Bring the journey, the current question and available evidence

Start with the growth concern, current reports, funnel or customer-stage definitions and information you can share. Agree which people can explain the commercial process and which systems the assessment may inspect.

A narrow event or attribution question may suit a Tracking Audit. Product Growth can include agreed changes across the product journey. I personally carry out this broader assessment and prepare the plan; I can implement an agreed next scope, or your existing team can carry it out.

Review the agreed findings and prioritized plan with the people who will use them. The scope and delivery schedule are agreed in advance. The assessment does not promise that a single bottleneck will be found or that a fixed intervention will produce revenue.

Questions about the service

How is this different from a Tracking Audit?

A Tracking Audit concentrates on measurement behavior and definitions. The growth diagnostic connects the relevant commercial stages, possible constraints and next actions, including measurement gaps that affect the investigation.

Do we have to retain you for implementation?

No. You keep the agreed plan. I can personally implement an agreed next scope, or you can hand the plan to your own team and existing suppliers.

What if the available data is incomplete?

Record the gap and explain which conclusions it limits. The plan can include the evidence or measurement work needed before a stronger decision is possible.

What should our team contribute?

Bring the current question, reports and funnel definitions you can share. Agree the people who can explain the process, provide permitted access and review the findings.

How are scope and timing agreed?

Agree the questions, relevant funnel stages, sources, outputs, responsibilities and delivery schedule before starting. The diagnostic is scoped to the decision and evidence available rather than a fixed universal package.
