Website & Brand Build

Website Design and Build

Build a website around the decisions your buyers need to make. Connect page requirements, original content, design and implementation in a scope your team can review and maintain.

Give each page a clear job

Aligned smoked-glass panels pass through an obsidian portal with luminous mint-cyan edges.

I personally design and implement the agreed website work. A useful brief explains what visitors need to understand, verify and do next. Define those decisions before choosing layouts or a platform, then identify the content and evidence each page needs.

A first website may need a content foundation. A substantial rebuild may need to reconcile existing pages, editing needs and important destinations. A launch-specific change may need a smaller intervention.

What the work can cover

Content and buyer paths

Agree the page inventory, supported claims, navigation and next actions. Identify content authors and factual reviewers before design begins.

Design and implementation

Use the approved content and buyer journey to guide an original design direction, then implement the agreed behavior and editing requirements.

Review and release readiness

Select checks for the scope, such as mobile use, keyboard navigation, included forms and retained destinations. Review the evidence with the accepting owner.

Editing and handoff

Agree the approved content, source assets, editing instructions and access responsibilities the team needs for future updates.

How the work comes together

1

Inventory what exists

Review current pages, assets, claims and important destinations. Identify what should remain, change or be created.

2

Define the requirements

Agree buyer questions, page roles, languages, editing needs and integrations. Resolve factual gaps with the people who own them.

3

Review and build

Review the content and design direction, then implement the agreed pages and behavior. Keep the accepted versions clear.

4

Check and hand over

Review the selected acceptance checks and remaining limitations. Agree the next owners and instructions for editing and publication.

Choose the scope before the platform

Platform choices follow content structure, editor needs, integrations and the people maintaining the site. Hosting, migration, ecommerce, languages and ongoing support are individual decisions rather than assumed inclusions.

For a rebuild, identify existing destinations that must remain accessible and who will check them. For included forms and measurement, agree expected behavior and event definitions before release.

A functioning site and an observed commercial result answer different questions. Define what the team wants to learn after release; use the existing tracking-audit or CRO workstreams where a separate measurement or optimization review is needed.

Questions about website design and build

Can you build a first website or rebuild an existing one?

Both can be scoped. A first site may need a page and content foundation; a rebuild starts by understanding existing content, buyer paths and editing requirements.

Which platform will you use?

The choice follows the agreed content, editing and integration requirements. Discuss existing constraints and maintenance responsibilities before selecting an approach.

Who provides and approves the content?

The engagement identifies content responsibilities and the people who approve product facts and claims. Missing evidence should be resolved before it becomes published copy.

What happens to existing pages in a rebuild?

Inventory important destinations and agree how changes will be handled. The acceptance plan should identify retained paths and who verifies them.

What is included in the handoff?

Agree the approved content, source assets, editing instructions, access responsibilities and known limitations. Continuing support and maintenance are separate scope decisions.
