AI marketing audit

A Working Map of Your Marketing Stack.

Before buying tools or headcount, I personally investigate the agreed marketing stack and workflows, validate findings against available records and produce working documents for the next decision. The opportunity map names the input, output, owner, cost assumptions and implementation dependencies. Read-only investigation is hands-on work; Advisory is the sole advice-only offer.

Most marketing stacks have the same problem: too many tools bought at different stages, connected by copy-paste and hope, with no single person who knows what actually fires when a lead converts.

I personally inspect the agreed ad, analytics, CRM, automation and content records. The output names observed gaps, a readiness rubric, opportunities and a sequenced implementation plan with cost and value assumptions. The free AI Visibility Audit scans your public web surface. This one gets inside the stack.

Investment

One-time engagement. Pricing depends on scope.

AI Marketing Audit

Scope-dependentone-time assessment

Full stack audit + automation readiness score + AI opportunity map + ROI projections + 90-day roadmap. Scope and delivery milestones are agreed before work starts. Any follow-on scope and pricing are agreed separately.

What is included

deliverables

5

Marketing stack audit. Automation readiness score. AI opportunity map (ranked by ROI). ROI projections per automation with payback periods. 90-day implementation roadmap.

What is NOT included

ongoing management

0

I personally perform the diagnostic investigation and validation. The agreed audit can remain read-only: it does not include ongoing account management or permission to change production systems. Any build or operation is separately defined; Advisory alone is advice-only.

The problem

The Stack Grew Faster Than the Measurement Layer

Disconnected tools, inconsistent customer definitions or an unclear decision owner can make a growth process difficult to operate. The audit checks the actual process rather than infer the problem from a tool count. Broader delivery can be scoped through fractional marketing.

A spend increase without stronger economics, more content without qualified demand or conflicting reports can have several causes. Investigate customer and product fit, commercial choices, execution, source definitions and measurement before choosing an automation or assuming the constraint is technical.

The audit maps opportunities within the agreed review and models their potential value using your actual costs and operating data. Estimates include implementation effort, ongoing costs, assumptions and payback periods; savings and realized ROI are not guaranteed.

Fit

Who this audit is for. Who it is not.

Right fit
  • B2B, B2C, SaaS or ecommerce teams with an explicit marketing decision and relevant records to inspect
  • Teams needing source reconciliation, workflow review or a concrete automation decision
  • CEOs who fired their agency and want to know what to build next
  • Marketing leaders preparing to hire and wanting to know what the system should look like first
  • Companies evaluating AI Foundation or AI Premium and wanting a scoped first step
  • Teams in Israel or international markets with an agreed process owner and authorized evidence access
Not a fit
  • A brief with no defined question or accessible evidence yet; first agree a useful research or diagnostic scope
  • Anyone who wants a free consultation or strategy call; this is paid diagnostic work
  • A requirement outside the sources, expertise, access or delivery capacity agreed for the review
  • A brief with no person authorized to accept findings and decide next steps; this can be the relevant business owner

Deliverables

Five Outputs. All Working Documents.

01

Full marketing stack audit

I inspect the named tools, configurations and records in scope, trace selected journeys and reconcile expected with observed events. Record what was checked, source identity, permissions, time window, missing evidence and unresolved cases.

02

Automation readiness score

A 0–100 score on the named, versioned readiness rubric covering data, integrations, triggers, review and monitoring. Retain the checked inputs and limitations; the score organizes findings and does not authorize unattended operation.

The score helps prioritize investigation; it does not approve a workflow to operate unattended. Before a recommended automation goes live, its scope needs agreed inputs, permissions, human decisions and failure checks. Any pilot results are recorded separately from the audit recommendation, with remaining limitations visible to the person accepting the build. To decide whether a workflow has enough evidence for a bounded pilot, see AI marketing pilot decision guide.

03

AI opportunity map

For each selected opportunity, record the task, source input, intended output, owner, permitted actions, dependencies, implementation effort and ongoing cost. Prioritize the actual decision and available evidence; label uncertain value assumptions.

04

ROI projections per automation

For illustration, if a process takes 10 hours a month at an agreed $50/hour planning rate, its modeled labor cost is $500/month. With a hypothetical $100/month for continuing operation and review, a $1,200 build has three-month simple payback only if all 10 hours are actually saved. Check actual review effort and realized savings separately; this is scenario arithmetic, not a client result.

05

90-day implementation roadmap

A sequenced implementation plan names the decision, task, owner, dependencies, approval, estimated effort and verification. We can use a 90-day planning horizon when it fits, but the actual sequence and delivery milestones follow access, resources and evidence.

Timeline

Audit Stages and Agreed Delivery Milestones

Stage 1

Stack access and diagnostic interviews

Agree the source accounts, minimum read permissions and interviews needed to understand the actual workflow. I inspect the available records directly and retain the review evidence; interview duration and participants follow the scope.

Stage 2

Opportunity mapping and ROI modeling

Record observed gaps and model selected opportunities from actual workload and cost inputs. Keep assumptions, missing data, implementation effort, recurring cost and review effort visible. A forecast is not a measured saving.

Stage 3

Roadmap session and handoff

Working session with duration agreed for the engagement to walk through findings, rank priorities with you present, and lock the 90-day roadmap. You leave with all five deliverables and a clear first move.

Five scoped deliverables on an agreed timeline. Automation gaps identified within the agreed review, with implementation estimates and a sequenced 90-day roadmap.

Before committing resources, identify the decision, inspect the evidence and compare the work needed. The constraint may involve measurement, execution, product or strategy; the audit should help choose the next useful action.

FAQ

Questions on the AI Marketing Audit

What is the difference between this and the free AI Visibility Audit?

The free audit scans your public web surface: AI crawler access, schema, llms.txt, and title/meta hygiene. The audit is a scoped assessment inside your stack, with timing agreed before work starts: ad accounts, GA4, CRM, automation tools, and content pipeline. Different inputs, different scope, different outputs.

What data access do you need?

Read access on: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, your CRM, your automation tool, and your content calendar. Write access is not needed for the audit.

What do I walk away with?

Five agreed working outputs: inspected-source findings, a named readiness rubric, opportunity records, cost/value scenarios and a sequenced implementation plan. Each identifies evidence, owner, assumptions and the decision it should support.

What if I want to implement the roadmap after the audit?

AI Foundation is the natural next step. Any follow-on scope and pricing are agreed for the engagement.

Do I need a technical team to use the output?

Some items on the roadmap need a developer; most do not. The audit flags which is which. No-code automations are labeled separately from infrastructure builds.

How many clients do you take per month?

Scope, availability and start date are agreed per client or project. Audit scope, start date and delivery timeline are agreed before work starts.

How much does the AI Marketing Audit cost?

Pricing depends on the scope of the engagement. The audit is a one-time engagement, and the scope and delivery milestones are agreed before work starts. Any follow-on scope and pricing are agreed separately, so the audit price does not commit you to a retainer or to further work.

Is this audit right for my company?

Fit depends on the business question, available evidence, authorized access and a decision owner. I work across B2B, B2C, SaaS and ecommerce, before or after product-market fit where there is useful work to investigate. We agree the sources, personal diagnostic work and acceptance for your scope.

Are the ROI projections guaranteed?

No. The audit models the potential value of each opportunity using your actual costs and operating data. Estimates include implementation effort, ongoing costs, assumptions and payback periods, and savings and realized ROI are not guaranteed. The numbers are conservative and based on your actual stack, not benchmarks.
