Measurement implementation

Full-Funnel Analytics, Data Warehousing and Tracking

Give marketing, product and finance a shared view of how people become customers. I personally implement the agreed tracking, data connections, warehouse models and full-funnel reporting, using the systems and access agreed for your business.

Connect the definitions before comparing the dashboards

Three overlapping glass discs meet at a teal point of light on a dark pedestal.

An advertising conversion, a product activation, an accepted opportunity and a paid order can describe different events. When each tool uses its own definition, the team spends the review reconciling numbers instead of deciding what to do.

I map the funnel the business actually runs, define its important events and connect the available source records. The work can include browser and server-side tracking, CRM and commerce connections, warehouse setup or extension, analytical models and reporting.

The deliverable is an operating measurement system with documented definitions, checks and responsibilities. We agree which sources are authoritative for each measure, what the data cannot establish and who responds when a connection or definition changes.

What the engagement can include

Funnel and metric definitions

A documented map from acquisition through the relevant product, lead, purchase and revenue stages. Define each event or measure, its source, responsible owner and the decisions it supports.

Tracking implementation

An event and campaign-source plan with the agreed browser, server-side and conversion integrations. Implementation checks cover timing, required fields, duplicate events, consent behavior and known collection limits.

Warehouse and data connections

Set up or extend the agreed data warehouse and connect selected marketing, product, CRM, commerce or payment sources. Document the ingestion approach, access, refresh behavior and handling of missing or late records.

Analytical data models

Build the source mappings and transformations needed for the agreed funnel, cohort and revenue views. Define identifiers, stage logic, refunds or returns where relevant, and reconciliation checks against the chosen source records.

Funnel and decision reporting

Reporting that brings conversion, acquisition costs, customer progression and available revenue together. Explain attribution choices and coverage so a useful comparison does not imply certainty the underlying data cannot support.

QA, monitoring and handover

Test representative journeys and reconcile selected source totals. Provide implementation documentation, checks, known limitations and operating responsibilities so the team can maintain and review the system.

How I deliver the work

Map the business questions and sources

Agree the funnel, key decisions and definitions with the marketing, product, sales and finance owners involved. Inventory existing tracking, source access and the data available for a baseline.

Design the data flow

Choose the tracking, integrations, warehouse structure and reporting approach for the scope. Confirm permitted data use, identifiers, consent behavior and the people who approve the implementation.

Implement and reconcile

Build the agreed events, connections, transformations and views. Test selected journeys and compare results with authoritative source records, documenting discrepancies and unresolved coverage.

Make the system operable

Hand over definitions, checks and reporting with named owners. Review refresh failures, schema or stage changes and new business questions through the agreed operating process.

Who owns which part

I personally design and implement the agreed tracking, data connections, warehouse models and reporting, and review the findings. The scope names the client owners who provide access and accept each part of the system.

Your team supplies access to the selected systems, product and stage definitions, and the owners who can validate CRM, commerce and revenue records. The warehouse and platform choices follow the business requirements, existing stack and agreed scope; a new tool is not assumed at the outset.

Consent choices, disconnected devices, unavailable identifiers and incomplete records can limit matching and attribution. Server-side implementation does not remove those limits or authorize collecting information without permission. Reporting keeps observed outcomes and model assumptions distinct.

Choose the scope around your business

This service fits teams that need implementation across several sources: unreliable conversion tracking, disconnected CRM and product data, warehouse work, inconsistent funnel definitions or reporting that cannot answer an operating question.

It can support B2B and B2C, ecommerce, cybersecurity, services, video games and betting. The funnel and data model follow the business: lead stages for a sales motion, orders and returns for commerce, or the relevant activation and customer-value events for a product.

If the first need is to identify what is broken, a tracking audit may be the starting scope. If the measurement infrastructure already works and the question is how to interpret channel credit, attribution work may be more focused. We choose the scope around the actual problem.

Questions before we scope the engagement

Can you build the warehouse and tracking, or only recommend them?

I personally implement the agreed tracking, selected source integrations, warehouse setup or extension, transformations and reporting. Client access and acceptance responsibilities are defined for the engagement.

Do we need to replace our existing analytics stack?

Not automatically. I assess the available sources, tools and questions first. Existing infrastructure can be retained and extended where it supports the agreed requirements; warehouse and platform choices are part of that design.

How is this different from a tracking audit or attribution project?

An audit diagnoses collection problems and specifies changes. Attribution work examines how credit is assigned. Full-funnel analytics implementation connects the events, source data, warehouse models and reports needed to operate the agreed measurement system.

Can you connect marketing activity to CRM, purchases and revenue?

Yes, where the selected systems, permissions and source records support the agreed connection. I define stage and revenue logic with you, test the mappings and document missing or unmatched records. A data connection does not establish that a campaign caused every recorded sale.

Will server-side tracking capture every customer?

No. Consent choices, browser behavior, devices, identifiers and incomplete source data can limit coverage. I document those limits and implement the agreed permitted collection; server-side tracking is not a way to bypass consent.

What do we receive at handover?

The scoped implementation, funnel and metric definitions, data mappings and models, reporting, validation checks, known limitations and operating responsibilities. The agreed owners need a clear way to notice failures and review changes after delivery.

Build the measurement system your next decision needs

Bring the business question, current stack and the source records you can access. We can define the implementation scope, the data that needs connecting and who will accept the result.
