Crypto ads consultant
Every mainstream ad channel is closed to you. The volume is still there.
I work as a crypto ads consultant: I buy and run paid media for token, mini-app and web3 products, inside the accounts. I took one Telegram mini-app game from a $100 per day test to $7,000-8,000 per day of live spend, and moved its optimisation off a 15-day pay event onto a 48-hour proxy so scaling decisions stopped waiting two weeks.
Crypto campaigns need an offer-specific eligibility and destination check before choosing the channel mix.
Rules differ by platform, product, target location, certification and account. Google permits some cryptocurrency-related categories subject to its requirements; other offers may be restricted. We review the actual offer and current policies with the responsible owners before committing spend, rather than presume all mainstream channels are closed.
A conversion can happen on a website, in a wallet, on-chain or inside a Telegram app. I personally inspect the selected journey and supported event connections, document permissions and matching limits and test observation before relying on it for a campaign decision.
Four problems, in the order they bite
Every mainstream channel is closed or closing
Meta, Google and at times Telegram itself restrict the offer. Buying for a social-casino Telegram game, the brief was explicitly to find reach that would not get blocked. That is a very different search than finding the cheapest CPM.
You cannot see channel saturation before you spend
Review the eligible audience and evidence of overlap or saturation before choosing placements. Available records may not identify every existing user or past exposure. I record what the sources can establish, test within an agreed budget and keep unresolved overlap explicit.
The pay event lands too late to optimise toward
On the mini-app game the meaningful payment cohort matured around fifteen days out. Wait for that signal and every scaling decision you make is two weeks stale. The fix is an earlier proxy event, inside about forty-eight hours, that correlates with paying.
The funnel breaks at the wallet
On the same product the web version was not converting, because users clicked, arrived, and never connected a wallet. The answer was not better creative. It was moving the whole buy to a Telegram-app destination so the user never had to make that jump.
Currently we are pretty saturated in terms of users in all of the channels that you would define as relevant, so we would rather avoid targeting them. That would just be a waste.Growth lead, crypto gaming app
Where the volume actually is
Telegram native and AdsGram
Telegram Ads and AdsGram can each be evaluated for a token, mini-app or community product. I compare actual audience fit, eligibility, destinations, costs, signal quality and placement overlap, then personally run the selected tests. No channel has a guaranteed share of reachable volume.
Crypto ad networks
Networks such as Cointraffic sell banner and native inventory on CPM across crypto media. I have set up and run through these directly. Useful for reach and brand presence, weak for precise targeting, so they belong in the mix rather than at the centre of it.
Managed Telegram traffic desks
They will run optimised buys for you, typically behind a prepaid minimum. The desk I bought through wanted $10,000 deposited for a ten-day test. That is a real constraint on how small you can start, and it is worth negotiating before you commit.
X, with one hard catch
For X or another channel, verify the actual offer, ad format, destination and account eligibility before producing the campaign. Test the permitted destination and conversion journey rather than assume a universal rule about Telegram links or use a redirect to bypass review.

How I work
Measurement, then structure, then creative volume
Measurement first
I personally map the selected conversion journey and verify which permitted signals the actual platform can receive. A server-side connection may be useful where supported, while browser, app or wallet records can play different roles. We document duplicates, unmatched journeys and receipt limits rather than assume a single tracking method observes every handoff.
Then structure
Which channels, which destination, what the proxy event is, and what the incremental test looks like. In a market where last-click attribution is close to meaningless, holdouts do more work than dashboards.
Then creative volume
Scaling a crypto buy is a creative-supply problem more often than a bidding problem. The teams that stall are usually the ones polishing one concept rather than producing many.
I work inside your accounts. I am not useful as someone who writes a plan and hands it to a team that does not exist yet.
Raising budget without killing what works
The pattern I see most often is a budget raise that kills performance and never recovers. It is not unique to crypto, but crypto makes it worse, because the learning signal is already slow and the audience pools are already thin.
Set the next budget change from the agreed risk limit, signal maturity, frequency, audience size, creative supply and observed economics. Illustratively, a 10% change takes a $1,000 daily budget to $1,100; that arithmetic is not a universal safe scaling rule. Review delivery and mature outcomes before making the next decision.
The second constraint is creative supply. A five or ten times scale is almost never achievable on one concept, however good it is. It needs volume and variety, split by placement, because the unit that fatigues is the creative and not the account.
The third is geography and pool quality. Excluding poor-fit geographies usually does more for blended efficiency than any bid adjustment, and it is faster to implement than a creative cycle.
Engagement shape
What the first ninety days look like
Weeks one and two: measurement
Map the actual outcome, test supported and permitted event connections, and establish an eligible baseline. Where an earlier proxy is useful, validate its relationship to the later outcome on the actual product and retain uncertainty as the cohort matures. I personally implement the agreed measurement and campaign work.
Weeks three to six: structure and first tests
Channel selection against where your audience actually is, destination decisions including the Telegram versus web question, and a first round of incrementality testing rather than dashboard-watching.
Weeks seven to twelve: creative volume and scale
Build the creative supply chain, then step budget up incrementally against frequency and efficiency, holding the proxy event as the optimisation target.
We agree delivery checkpoints separately from commercial observation. Product changes, signal quality, audience size and outcome maturity determine what can be learned by each review; an inconclusive early check should stay inconclusive rather than become a promised ninety-day verdict.
Questions worth asking any crypto ads consultant
| Ask this | What the answer tells you |
|---|---|
| What do you optimise toward when the pay event is two weeks out? | Ask how the candidate chooses and validates a timely signal against mature outcomes |
| How do you measure when the conversion is on-chain? | Ask which permitted events and matching limits the actual journey supports |
| What happens when the offer gets blocked mid-flight? | Ask for the current eligibility check, pause plan and responsible owners |
| What minimum do you need to start? | Request the actual platform or desk terms, deposit and bounded test budget |
When this works, and when it does not
A fit when someone owns the budget, the product is live or close to launch, and you want a number moved rather than a document produced. It works whether you are pre-launch and designing the funnel or already spending and unable to scale past a ceiling.
Not a fit when the spend is too small for a platform to ever leave its learning phase, when nobody internally can ship a tracking change, or when the brief is to produce a strategy nobody is resourced to execute. I would rather say that at the start than three weeks in. A crypto ads consultant who takes that work anyway is selling you a document, not a result.
Questions
Frequently asked
Which channels actually work for crypto?
Choose from the actual offer, audience, eligibility, destination and supported signals. Telegram Ads, AdsGram, crypto inventory or mainstream platforms may suit different products and locations. Check current platform policies and account conditions before spending; no universal ban or destination rule is assumed.
What do you optimise toward when the pay event is two weeks out?
On the reported mini-app game, the payment cohort matured around fifteen days and I used an earlier signal around forty-eight hours to support decisions. For another product, select and validate a proxy against its actual later outcomes and review whether the relationship remains useful as campaigns change.
Do you buy media directly or advise?
Both. I have run managed Telegram buys with prepaid deposits, and I have sat on the account doing structure and measurement only.
Do you work with pre-launch tokens?
Yes, and that is usually the right time. After launch you are repairing. Before launch you are designing a funnel that has one chance to work.
What does the first ninety days of an engagement look like?
We agree the implementation plan around access, eligibility, destination, product readiness and the available signal. I personally build the selected measurement, campaigns and creative tests, then review eligible mature outcomes and the next budget decision. Timing and learning checkpoints follow the actual scope rather than guarantee results before day ninety.
How do you measure conversions that happen on-chain or inside a Telegram app?
I map the actual wallet, app or on-chain journey and test supported, permitted events and receipt. Browser, app and server-side records may each observe different parts. We document duplication, missing matches and maturity. Attributed credit and an incremental effect are different; use a suitable comparison when the question requires causal evidence.
Who is this not a good fit for?
I am not a fit when the spend is too small for a platform to ever leave its learning phase, when nobody internally can ship a tracking change, or when the brief is to produce a strategy nobody is resourced to execute. I would rather say that at the start than three weeks in. It is a fit when someone owns the budget, the product is live or close to launch, and you want a number moved rather than a document produced.
How do I get started, and are you taking on clients?
Bring your current spend, your conversion event and the channels you have already tried. On the first call you should get a diagnosis, not a pitch: what you are optimising toward, whether it can be received, and what is actually reachable. I agree the scope, time commitment and availability for each client or project before work starts. I reply within one day.
How fast can I raise budget without killing performance?
The next change follows the agreed spend limit, eligible signal, mature cohort economics, audience overlap, frequency and creative capacity. A ten-percent step can be an illustrative budget calculation rather than a universal safe rate. Record what changed and review delivery and outcomes before the next increase.
